Core Values Week
It’s been a really busy (and fun) week for us here at RockIT as we celebrated ‘Core Values’ week.
Core Values week was about celebrating what is important to us a business, our key goals and objectives. We asked our staff what they felt these were to then devise our set of values. Our staff put a great deal of consideration into their answers and we were able to split this down into five key areas. Here is what they came up with:
Clients – Never lose a client
People - Happy people deliver great service
Quality - Zero defects in everything we do
Service - Deliver ‘WOW’ through service
Greatness - Good is the enemy of great
These values have become our mantra and we take them very seriously. As a fun way to keep them fresh in everyone’s minds we went on to host various activities throughout the week. Our CEO himself got into the thick of things, ordering some giant cookies to be made with the core values written on them and had some fun t-shirts made for all our staff to wear.
And if THAT wasn’t enough to, Rob also held a ‘core values’ drawing competition. Staff were asked to draw what the core values meant to them in black and orange. Participants were eligible to win £200 or a weekend stay at the beautiful Swan inn, in Oxford (he really spoils us!) Competition was tough, and it took Rob’s Dad Paul two hours to make his decision. The top prize went to Melissa Lewis, and she was thrilled! Congratulations Mel!
