Making the IoD shortlist
You could be fooled for thinking that the award season was over, well not for Rob Dance, he’s been selected as one of the finalists in the Institute of Directors, Wales Director of the Year 2017 Awards, in the Young Director of the Year category. This esteemed award really sets the standard as one of the most prestigious business awards directors want within their accolade.
The IoD has been established since the early 1900s, for professional leaders as a dedicated resource that promotes responsible business practice for the benefit of the wider business community. Along with networking events, workshops and training opportunities, they provide businesses and the people that lead them with information and advice that’s needed to feel confident and develop.
This category is ideal for Rob, at this time in his career. It’s inspiring to think that at a mere 25 years of age, Rob was writing a 250 page business plan and creating the RockIT brand. Obviously, he always hoped that the business would be a success, however, he knew it was never a given, and what he did year in, year out was plan and visualise. It’s this meticulous attention to detail and the ability to see things strategically, that gives him the edge and the reason he’s a CEO of a successful national business.
