RockIT news,

One step closer to being the best

Earlier this week, it was announced that RockIT are one step closer to award success, in being named as finalists in the IT Industry Awards, Best Place to Work in IT 2017 category. We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted and are up against the likes of Lloyds Banking Group and Barclays Bank. As the biggest IT awards in the UK, it is a great platform to showcase all the great focus we put into this area.

It goes without saying, that to even be considered for an award like this you need to have your employees at the heart of every business decision that affects them and their wellbeing.  We go above and beyond to ensure our employees have a thriving environment, perfect for them to enjoy their working day and to maintain a flourishing career.

What makes us tick?

We’ve endeavoured to find out what makes our employees happy and motivated. What do they love? And what can we do to improve the working day and enhance their opportunities? Not only do we regularly provide a smorgasbord of delights, we make sure individuals are suitably incentivised with rewards and have a clear route map for personal progression. Our employees are passionate and ambitious, both qualities that we value and which are rewarded in return. Career progression has always been a real thing here, although in recent months we have created more clarity with the career paths that are available, and made it easier through regular employee reviews, for individuals to benchmark their own progression. This is turn supports them in achieving their own personal success.

When you consider the shortlisted finalists for this category are some of the UK’s best loved brands such as Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays UK Technology and AO, all businesses that are famous for their great customer experience. It’s great to be up against such formidable competition.

Whatever happens in the final ceremony, it will be a case of the ‘Best’ company won and come rain or shine we’ll be celebrating.
